"Lawnfield" is the name of the Garfield Presidential Home and is one of the most accurately and completely furnished 19th Century Presidential sites. The house was also the site of the first "Front Porch" presidential campaigns. Garfield took office in March 1881 and was assassinated in September 1881, leaving his wife and a large family.
