Lake Placid
Lake Placid is located in the Adirondack Mountains. We didn't get to see but a couple of the Olympic areas...the ski center was at Whiteface about 14 miles away. Looking at the ski jumps it's hard to imagine wanting to do that. We weren't able to go into the 1932 Olympic Arena, home of the 1980 US Olympic "Miracle on Ice".
