6/5/11 - Day Trip on Lake Champlain
We decided to drive around the islands on Lake Champlain and go over to Burlington, VT. Lake Champlain is the sixth largest lake in the United States, surpased in size only by the Great Lakes. Lake Champlain stretches 120 miles north to south with almost 600 miles of beautiful shoreline. Lake Champlain Islands Vermont is one peninsula and four islands. The islands are 30 miles long and 8 miles wide, connected by bridges. We stopped at this Visitor's Center and the lady we talked to was from this area, gave us a ton of information and definitely loved her job....besides liking to talk! The missile sign was right by the Visitor's Center. When we stopped to get something to drink.....I found this group of dogs.
