8/2/07 - 4th Day in Soldotna

We had planned on a side trip to Homer today....but after being gone for a long time yesterday we decided to take a day's break in between side trips. It rained off and on today and we didn't get out away from the coach until about 2:30. Went to check on plane trips to do some bear watching but they were pretty expensive and said we might see 6-8 bears....at $50.00 per bear that was too pricey for us. Went out to see a large wood carving business, checked on getting some moose antlers and went to the visitor center. All in all it was a pretty quiet day....we played cards again tonight.
