8/1/07 - 3rd Day in Soldotna

We took a side trip today back towards Cooper's Landing on the Skilak Road Loop (to hopefully see moose and bear). We had dinner at Gwin's Lodge, then headed west back towards Soldotna taking the Swanson River Road. Dan & Jenny and Larry & Marcheta all went razor clam digging....that didn't interest us at all....Pat's knee wouldn't have taken that, we didn't have any equipment and we really don't even like clams so we didn't see much purpose in our going claiming. Wildlife sightings today: 2 Moose, 3 Common Loons, 1 Eagle and a large herd of Dall Sheep.
