The first 2 pictures are looking down at Homer. You can see the Homer Spit, which is a long narrow bar of gravel, that extends 4.5 miles from the Homer shore. The Spit has quite a history and it continues to be a centery of activity for the town. A landmark on the Spit is the Seafarer's Memorial, dedicated to those whol have lost their lives at sea. The next to last picture is the Historic Salty Dawg, the lighthouse tower was once a water tower. It is a classic example of local architecture. Several buildings were spliced together to create this landmark. Fishing Lagoon on the Homer Spit.
