8/7/07 - 2nd Day in Anchorage

We didn't get moving very early this morning. Pat had checked the Jeep tires last night and it looks like we need to replace them....so he was checking on prices and we ended up having to take the Jeep to the Costco on the other side of town and leave it...as it was on a first come basis. Richard and Karen ended up being our taxi service for the day.... thanks guys! We all went over to the Alaska Wild Berry store and then had a good lunch at Gallo's Mexican Restaurant. We then hit Costco. Went back to pick up the Jeep about 7:00 PM and then Pat and I headed downtown to see if any of the stores might be open late. We would rather get that shopping done tonight and then be able to leave Anchorage in the morning. We were in luck...a lot of the tourist stores were open until 11:00 PM.
