We drove across the bay which is where Solomon Fish Hatchery and the Pipeline facilities are. These pink salmon were all trying to get to where they were hatched to spawn and die. Since they came from the hatchery that is the stream they were trying to get up to spawn and die. There were literally thousands of them and the stream had been blocked by the hatchery (government).....it was really sad, I left here in tears! Don't always think man is doing the right thing. These hatcheries are supplying the salmon for the commercial fishing that is done up here and shipped worldwide.
