Roadside gardens

From about 30+ miles out of St. Anthony and on the two different roads we were on we also saw all these gardens planted. It's the way they do gardens up here, they say "why clear your land when a road crew has already turned the topsoil on a sheltered, inland plot". Most of the gardens had fences with a plastic bag or two hanging on it. They said the moose are the only thieves to worry about up here!
