Ferry

The Ferry from Blanc-Sablon, QC to St. Barbe, NL....Richard and Karen were leading today so these pictures are them entering the ferry. We couldn't figure out why this dump truck with a load of dirt was paying the ferry prices to go over to Newfoundland....didn't make sense to us. It was pretty tight quarters down on the vehicle deck as you can see Pat in the last picture. Evidently there aren't many big rigs that take the ferry....they leave their rigs in a campground parking lot at St. Barbe, NL (and pay $25.00 per night), take their tow vehicle and stay in the Northern Lights Hotel....it was cheaper for us to take the motorhomes across than staying in the hotel and we got to sleep in our own beds plus have everything with us...worked better for us anyway.
