When we went to get some information from a ranger he was so excited he couldn't quit talking....he said he was from St. Lunaire-Griquet, was 42 and had lived here all of his life. Yesterday he and a buddy had gone out in their boat to see the icebergs....he said they have never seen icebergs like what is going through this area the past couple of weeks. When they went to go home their usual way was blocked by icebergs and they had to go around another way. He used to be a fisherman with his father and then started working for the Canadian Parks at L'Anse aux Meadows....he was an excellent guide....you could tell he loved life and his job. The Viking village has been recreated as to what the archaeologist found in the 1960'2.
