Home of Broom Maker

The farm house was down a really pretty lane, while we were there a wood delivery was made....all of the buildings had wood fires burning inside. The brooms are made from the trunk of a birch sapling, a sharp knife is used to peel back the wood and without breaking it off it is bent down, tied together and forms the bottom of the broom. The core of the trunk left is the handle on the broom.
