We stopped and had lunch in town at Alberton and then drove out to the harbor. Couldn't figure out what all the lobster traps were doing out of the water....they were stacked everywhere you looked and each group had different buoy's that distinguish the traps when they are under water. (Pat and I found out at the Parade on July 1st - that the lobster fishing season ended on 6/30/11 and all the traps have to be out of the water on that date)....that was today so then it made more sense. The lobster fishing season lasts three months at a time and then they have to purchase another license for the next season which was going to begin August 15th. Guess the guys from the Coast Guard in the first picture are checking to make sure all the traps get out of the water.
