West Point Lighthouse

This was a pretty five story lighthouse that was also a museum and inn. We climbed up to the top and the last 11 stairs were really narrow and steep (my legs felt it the next day). There were only two lightkeepers in the 88 years the Lighthouse was manned....one from 1875-1925 who is said to have never missed one night of duty and the second from 1925-1963. There was a beautiful view of the gorgeous sandy beach. It has been undergoing some repair and they were painting the outside while we were there. There was a really pretty Provincial Park close by that had really pretty camping sites right on the beach.
