7/23/11 - Celtic Music Interpretive Centre
This Celtic Music center opened in 2006 and I'm sure is run by the Kinnon Beaton family. Their daughter gave us a music lesson on the fiddle and the four types of music played...aire, strathspey, jig and reel. The fiddle player is the boss and everyone else follows them. Kinnon and his wife did a Kitchen Ceilidh and were joined by their two daughters that did step dancing. A ceilidh means "a visit". There was also a Celtic music interactive exhibit room and lots of musical archives that we went through here.
