Shingle Maker
Making cedar shingles. The log is cut into 16-inch sections, split in four with the froe, and then scored with the marking tool, which will give the thickness of each slat. The froe comes into play again, followed by the plane, a blade with a handle on each end, which thinks out one end to make the shingle.
