7/11/11 - Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

Well, it's back to Halifax today to see three things before leaving tomorrow. Our first stop was at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic where you can see lots about Nova Scotia's fascinating seafaring history. You see shipwreck treasures, Titanic artifacts, the Halifax Explosion movie and exhibit, boatbuilding and lots of beautiful models that have been built. None of us had heard of the Halifax Explosion. On December 6, 1917, two ships collided causing an explosion that killed nearly 2000 people.
