Halifax was pulled into the Titantic tragey because they were the closest major port. The exhibit features a number of authentic documents and photographs. There are also numerous wooden artifacts recovered at the scene of the disaster, including richly carved peices of Titanic's grand staircase....the last photo is just a picture of the staircase....items that are behind glass don't come out very good in pictures because of the glare. The original deck chair was behind glass....but they had this one that you could sit in. The first picture is a model of the Titantic.
