Printing Shop - 1880
One of the first printing shops in Acadia was that of the Moniteur Acadien, a weekly paper published in Shediac, NB in 1867. Besides the large screw press used for printing the paper, a platen press was used to turn our invitations, cards, posters and other odd jobs. The very last picture is of a paper cutter....I actually used one like this when I worked for Films For Christ in Mesa in the late 1980's!
