"De Zwann" is Dutch for "The Swan" or graceful bird. That is the name of this 248 year-old imported Dutch working windmill which stands 15 stories tall. There are seven floors on this windmill, six of which we were able to tour. De Zwann was the last windmill to leave the Netherlands. Dutch law now prohibits the sale of windmills, since they are now considered national monuments.
The blades are 80 ft. long and 6 ft. wide, and weigh three tons.
