We arrived in Bremen, IN on May 13th and met with the painting company on the 14th. We needed to decide on the design and colors that we wanted.....it took us until May 18th to finalize what we wanted....this part of it was not a fun process, as far as I was concerned, how do you come up with a design and then what colors do you want to use.....I was very glad when the decision was finally made.
We went to the Newmar (a RV manufacturer) tour in Nappanee and couldn't believe the facility and process they have. 80% of their employees are Amish. They have 58 bays that they can be working on that many at a time (of course that was before the economic downturn in the RV industry). They move the vehicles on air pads and just scoot them along the way. If anyone is in this area we would definitely recommend going to this free tour.
We made several trips to Elkhart, IN (about 25 miles away) for various RV parts and then to go to the RV Hall of Fame. The Museum houses a variety of vintage RVs, photos and memorabilia dating back 100 years. We had forgotten our camera.....so sorry no old RVs to show you.
A new state for us to visit.
Our dear friends John & Carol were staying in Knox, IN so we went down to see them and they came up to Bremen to see us. This area is where they are originally from.
This is Mike's Class C RV that he let us stay in while they were painting ours. All in all it worked out very well with the 4 of us for 11 days and we were very thankful it was offered to us....way cheaper than a motel.
With all the humidity back here Cody and Addie are as soft as can be. This campground was huge and all grass....so they had a ball running and playing here.
