9/2/07 - Houston to Prince George - 194 miles

Happy 65th Birthday Pat -- Pat had gone into the Social Security office when we were in Anchorage and applied for medicare insurance to be effective 9/1/07. We wanted to be relieved of those huge individual monthly insurance payments as soon as possible...so we are finally there! It was a really pretty drive today lots of lakes and lumbermills. When we got to Prince George Pat and I just stayed around the campground....actually I had a wonderfully long nap. Richard & Karen were out and about and when they got back we all went to the Caribou Steak House that had been recommended to us. Richard & Karen treated us to a wonderful steak dinner for Pat's birthday.....Thanks Guys! Both of us had our camera's with us and would you believe neither one of us even thought about taking a picture at the restaurant or when they brought Pat his cake....we are really slipping on the picture taking!
