8/29/07 - Dease Lake to Stewart/Hyder - 243 miles

We had planned on staying at Dease Lake two nights and doing a side trip (70 miles one way) to Telegraph Creek. The information we were given was not to do it if the roads were wet....well guess what....when we got up it had been raining throughout the night and still raining so we thought we best not go to Telegraph Creek today....so we decided to head on down the Cassair to Hyder, AK for some bear viewing! We had a lot of rain today and some pretty muddy areas. Wildlife sightings today: 2 Grizzlies, 2 Black Bear.
