9/11/11 - Freeport, ME - 113 miles

We had a pretty short drive today... after Augusta...Karen & Richard turned to go to Lewiston to do some family history research and we headed on to Freeport and the home of L.L. Bean. There was free overnight parking in one of the parking lots in town and we took advantage of it for two nights. We had a great meal at a little restaurant and then headed over to do some shopping at L.L. Bean. They are open 24/7 - 365 days a year. We talked to one of the sales clerks about the store being open all the time and they don't even have locks on the doors. We didn't get our picture with the boot until a couple of days later....thanks Tom for telling us about the boot!
