8/28/11 - Waiting our Hurricane Irene

We have decided to stay put here in Cape Breton for the next couple of days. We are planning on going to Hopewell Cape in New Brunswick from here....they have the highest tides in the world....so we don't want to be there when "Irene" goes through! This campground is a ways from the Bras d'Or Lake and there are no big trees around to fall on us and we certainly don't want to be driving in the high winds that are in the forecast....so we feel there's no better place for us to be to ride this storm out.
