8/29/11

This is the campground were staying at while waiting for Hurricane Irene to go through New England and the Maritimes. It was really windy here today and we've had some rain so we were very glad we weren't on the roads driving in this weather. Karen and Richard were over talking to us this morning and we heard a loud metallic sound...when Pat and Richard went outside to see if they could see where the sound came from, the topper of Richards bedroom slideout was laying flat on the top of the slide. The spring had broken, so if he brought the slide in the topper would not rollup. Pat and Richard removed the topper and wrapped it with wire ties and put it back on the slide so that he could later put a new spring on when we got to where there was a repair facility. After I finished Michelle's job I did some blogging and tried to print something and the printer wouldn't work. After a call to Epson it was determined that it would have to be replaced. We bought it in August 2010 and they already had to replace it in November and now again....not a very good track record, but it does print pictures a lot better than our HP did. We had Epson ship the new printer to a campground that we will be at in a week.
