7/5/07 - 3rd Day in Fairbanks

We took the Riverboat Discovery tour today. It is owned and operated by the Binkley family, whose riverboating experience in Alaska spans four generation and more than 100 years. The Riverboat Discovery tour has been rated the top boating attraction in North America. One of the highlights of the trip is a stop ashore at the Old Chena Indian Village. Here you are given guided tours. The entire crew is from Alaska and you have a great opportunity to meet and talk with the Alaskan Native guides, they represent various Alaskan Native groups. The highlight for me was the sled dog stops and demostrations.Wildlife sightings today: Only the ones on the boat tour.
