Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site
This site introduces you to Civil War General and 18th President Ulysses S. Grant and his wife, Julia Dent Grant, at her family's home, White Haven. Here they met and fell in love in the 1840s, farmed in the 1850s. Iit was here they considered home during the Civil War and his presidency.
