Whitehorse Fish Ladder and Dam is the longest wooden fish ladder in the world. The fish ladder was not flowing while we were there, as the salmon do not return until mid-July through September during the salmon-spawning season when they return to their original river tributaries, this is over a 2000 mile trip up the Yukon for the salmon. They do not eat for 3 months, spawn and then die.
