The Old Log Church , erected in 1900, is one of the older original buildings in Whitehorse and tells the fascinating story of the early Yukon missionaries. By 1861, long before the great Gold Rush, the first missionaries had ventured into this region. At trading posts or in mining camps or in the company of aboriginal peoples, these pioneers sought to miister to the scattered population of this vast area. They still hold services here during the sommer months, if we would have been here on Sunday I'm sure we would have come here for church.
