Miles Canyon was an imposing challenge for miners and stampeders on their way up the Yukon to the goldfields, mainly because the narrow channel through the canyon was followed by the daunting Whitehorse & Squaw Rapids, which are now covered by the dam. We walked across the suspension bridge and had a very enjoyable hike along the river. The area was just covered with lupine....really a pretty walk.
