5/8/10 - Hannibal, MO

After getting set up at the Injun Joe Campground....we headed to downtown Hannibal, MO and stopped at a Missouri Travel Center. Asked them what they recommended for us to do and that we only had a day and a half. They immediately informed us that Hal Holbrook was in town and putting on a performance of "Mark Twain Tonight" tonight at the high school and there were still a few seats left. There were people from many areas of the US that were coming in for the performance. We have seen him on TV several times and decided that we would like to see his performance......he is 85 years old and probably won't have a lot more personal performances. We enjoyed it very much and so much of what Mark Twain said in 1905 still applies today.
