5/24/09 - 5/26/09 - Conway, AR

It is now 8/6/09 and I haven't posted a blog since 6/15/09.....oh well hang in there with me and I will eventually get through our trip. We went to a very friendly Christian Church this morning that was right across from the RV park in Eureka Springs. As soon as church was over we packed up and headed for Conway, AR (about 30 miles north of Little Rock) so that we could visit with Pat's cousin - Winnie. She was the reason that we went to Arkansas. We used to go to Yuma to visit her and Warren while they lived there. We had a wonderful visit with Winnie, Carl & Dorothy, even though it was bittersweet, with Warren not there (he died 2 years ago from complications of a fire). On Monday (Memorial Day) Carl was off work so we all hopped in their van and toured the area all day. Carl is from this area and has spent a lot of time in the outdoors so we really had our own personal guide. When we weren't sight-seeing we were playing cards - Winnie likes to play cards as much as Pat's mom did!
