Our friends from Oklahoma, Richard & Karen Hugo and Joe & Hannah Dubuc arrived in Thayne Sunday, May 27th.
We spent the afternoon talking and planning different routes to take, and trying to figure out where we can have our mail shipped to etc.
Monday, May 28th we left Thayne and drove to Heise Hot Springs (Ririe), ID.
About 25 miles northwest of Thayne, WY we crossed over into Idaho and drove along the 25 mile long Palisades Reservoir and then into the Swan Valley area. It was a beautiful drive, but we had heavy Memorial Weekend traffic. We were glad we only had 75 miles to go.
This is our 3 rigs @ Heise Hot Springs, ID.
It is a really pretty grassy campground.
Ours is the one with the red jeep!
A group of 13 of us went to dinner tonight @Heise Pizza Parlor. Our friends Jackie & Garth Thomas that are working here this summer had been to Alaska in 2002, so they were giving us tips for our trip.We drove along the Snake River for a good part of the trip today. With the spring runoff the banks are almost overflowing. All this water will eventually end of going into the Pacific Ocean....how we could use some of this in the Southwest with our drought issues!
